Moving, versus Making Movements….
Moving is something we always do, thinking about it or not, if we are alive we are moving. It’s happening within us, around us, us moving in space.
Making movements, we sometimes do, when we are trying to do a specific movement or task, improve a technical aspect, or learning something completely new. We think a lot of how, when and in what way it should be done. We break it apart, break it down to know more, slow it down, analyze, feel it out, try it on, focus a lot.
Can we then, and in what way, after we mastered it, learned, and started to thinking about what and how we do, bring it back to not thinking and let it happen?
Returning to a natural state, letting body and movement take over, trusting what happens and move? Can it return to how it was before or is it forever changed? In what way does it change, is there a difference before and after? How does it go from moving to making movements, and then back the other way, making movements to moving?
How much must “we” be involved, adjust, edit, steer the process? Is there a change?
What is the quality of both? What is the difference in feeling and sense?
